As we move into 2019, the most significant issue which the world is suffering with is the ‘Trust’. The world just celebrated the centenary of World War-1. Though efforts started earlier, It was after the World War- II, when almost all the countries are shattered, there was a strong sense of urgency for a global mechanism to ensure all countries in the world live in harmony with each other. After 80 years, we have forgotten the history, and trying to disrespect the global structures with certitude. As a result, it’s increasingly becoming difficult for the world leaders to Trust each other. Careless unilateralism is considered as ‘heroic’, and self-centeredness is believed as the formula for securing power. This is leading the world towards a more complex situation day by day.
